Like champagne and chocolate or milk and cookies, Cristin and Jason are a perfect match. Jason is the yin to Cristin’s yang, both balancing each other out in perfect harmony which was totally evident to everyone around them on their wedding day. Cristin is originally from Michigan and and Jason is originally from Tennessee. After graduating from Michigan (YAY!! GO Blue!) and finishing grad school, Cristin ended up moving to DC where she met Jason on the app, Coffee Meets Bagel. They had a great first date but before they could have a second date, Cristin hurt her knee and had to have surgery. As her dad recounted during his speech at the reception, he flew out for a week to take care of Cristin when she had her surgery and she told him that she had met a guy named Jason who was also going to help take care of her. Jason, being the kind and caring person he is, had volunteered to help take care of Cristin while she was recovering even though they had just met. That pretty much sealed the deal for Cristin and they’ve been together ever since! All of their family and friends gathered in Detroit to get married in Cristin’s hometown and they planned a few days of fun for their guests culminating with their Saturday wedding!
The morning of their wedding started off at Greektown casino where Cristin and her best girlfriends got their hair and make-up done. Then it was off to meet up with Jason in the city for their first look. As soon as Cristin saw Jason, all of her nerves from the morning just melted away, which is one reason why I’m such a fan of the first look! Plus, the excitement on Jason’s face when he saw Cristin in her stunning fitted lace dress was so adorable! After a beautiful ceremony where they were married by one of my November brides, Kelly, the party got started! Nick Kuhl & The Gang had the dance floor rocking and the crowd dancing all night long!
