Athena and Vugar met when they were working in the same restaurant. On their first date, Vugar took Athena to Downtown Detroit and they ended up watching the sun rise along the Detroit riverfront. When it came time to propose, Vugar took Athena back to that exact spot along the river where they ended their first date and asked her to spend forever with him. I had the joy of meeting up with Athena and Vugar in Detroit last week to document this exciting time in their lives. We had a blast wandering around the Detroit Institute of Arts (one of my favorite spots in the city because of all of that white marble – see more here) taking their engagement photos!
