A yacht cruising the Detroit River, a first dance under the Ambassador Bridge and all of your family and friends onboard for it all is the recipe for a perfect wedding celebration!! The day started early with Morgan and her bridesmaids getting primped and pampered at Morgan’s downtown Detroit apartment while Jeff and his groomsmen got ready and played pool at the Aloft hotel in the David Whitney Building. Once Morgan’s mom and sister helped her get her dress on, we headed over to the Aloft for Morgan & Jeff’s first look. The lobby of the David Whitney building has the most stunning architecture and interior balconies and the second floor in between the columns made the perfect spot for their first look! When Jeff turned around and saw Morgan for the first time in her stunning satin dress, his eyes welled up with tears and it was the cutest moment between them! After the first look, we headed out onto the city streets of Detroit for portraits before heading over to the marina to get these two married! Before everyone boarded the yacht, Morgan and Jeff promised to love and honor each other forever in a beautiful waterside ceremony as the sun set in the distance. One of my favorite moments of the day was seeing the look on Morgan’s mom’s face watching her daughter walk down the aisle. It was such an emotional moment and one of those fleeting moments on a wedding day that I was so thankful to have caught and preserved forever. After Morgan and Jeff were pronounced husband and wife, everyone boarded the yacht and the party got started. Their first dance was perfectly timed to coincide with the yacht sailing under the ambassador bridge. It stopped right under it and turned around to head back to shore and it was so cool to be directly underneath it for a few moments! Morgan and Jeff certainly threw one unforgettable wedding and I was so thrilled to have been able to document every last detail of it for them!
