Is there really a better place for two Michigan alums to get married than the University of Michigan? I think not!! Joy & Tyler tied the knot recently and I was so excited to be there to document it all! 

At their Chicago engagement session, Joy & I discovered just how much we have in common (we both went to Michigan at the same time, we were both political science majors, we both lived in Oxford freshman year, we both have Bichon Friese dogs, etc) and I was so excited to be able to hang out with these two again.

I don’t even know where to start with this wedding! I’ve known Kristina (or Krissy as I still call her ;)) since the 2nd grade when we attended the same catholic grade school. We quickly became best friends and were inseperable growing up.

It was a beautiful fall day just outside of Chicago when I arrived at the Monte Bello Estates for the start of Mary & Matt’s wedding day. They were both getting ready is separate spots inside the beautiful private space and the energy was electric with bridesmaids bustling back and forth, make-up being done and hair being finished.

There’s a Luke Combs song that I love that goes, “you roll in with your hair in the wind, baby, without warning. I was doin’ alright but just your sight had my heart stormin’. The moon went hiding, stars quit shining, rain was dropping, thunder ‘n lightning, you wrecked my whole world when you came and hit me like a hurricane.”

If there was ever a song to describe how these two fell in love, it’s this one.

I’m so excited to share another Lovett Hall wedding on the blog today! Tina & Todd were married earlier this month in a beautiful ceremony in the foyer of Lovett Hall that incorporated Tina’s Persian heritage.

The day started at the Dearborn Inn where Tina and her girls got their hair and make-up down.

Izzy & Drew were married in Downtown Detroit on a beautiful sunshine filled day! Izzy wore the most beautiful champagne colored tulle ballgown from Carolina Herrera that was adorned with gold beading and a matching gold beaded cathedral length veil. The veil was a gift from Drew and looked so stunning on her.
