Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!

You guys, let me start of this blog post by saying that I just LOVE my Michigan brides!! With a living alumni base that’s 500K+ strong, I know the odds are that I’ll get at least a few Michigan couples a year, but it still makes me SO excited every single time I get an inquiry in my inbox from a bride & she mentions that her or her fiance went to Michigan too!
When two Michigan alums fall in love and plan a wedding on campus at the University of Michigan Museum of Art in Ann Arbor, you know it’s going to be a GOOD day! ?? There’s just something about being back at the place where I spent four of the best years of my life, with a couple who also went there and gets why this place is so special, that I love so much!
It was literally 16 degrees outside in Ann Arbor when I met up with Lisa & Gerid for their University of Michigan engagement photos but you would never know how cold it was by looking at these images. They absolutely knocked it out of the park!
I met up with Kennedy and Dakota recently to take their engagement photos on the Michigan State campus where they both go to school and I love that they picked a place that is special to them! They first met there through a mutual friend and instantly clicked!
I met up with Jenny & Adam a few weeks ago in Ann Arbor for their engagement session!! These two are getting married on the west side of the state THIS weekend and I’m so excited to hang out with them again in a few days!!!
Is there really a better place for two Michigan alums to get married than the University of Michigan? I think not!! Joy & Tyler tied the knot recently and I was so excited to be there to document it all!
At their Chicago engagement session, Joy & I discovered just how much we have in common (we both went to Michigan at the same time, we were both political science majors, we both lived in Oxford freshman year, we both have Bichon Friese dogs, etc) and I was so excited to be able to hang out with these two again.
