Jillian and Steve were married this past Friday at one of my favorite Metro Detroit wedding venues, The Inn at St. John’s. From the moment I first met Jillian and we bonded over our love of Taylor Swift (she even had it playing the morning of her wedding) and she showed me photos of her stunning dress, I knew she was my kind of bride and have been looking forward to photographing her and Steve’s wedding day for the last 6 months!

I was so excited when I got an email last year from Hannah telling me that she was engaged and asking me to head back down to Cleveland to photograph her wedding. Two years ago, I had the honor of photographing her brother & now sister-in-law’s Windows on the River Cleveland wedding and I was so excited to get to see Laura & Daniel again and get to photograph another Maxwell wedding!

I still remember the first time I met Laura & Paul in a coffee shop and they told me all about their love story. They were best friends through the first three years of high school, and by senior year, that turned into high school sweethearts!

As Katlyn and her dad walked down the aisle to where Jake was waiting this past Saturday, the clouds opened up and the rain began to fall. Their ceremony was in the gardens of the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and as guests took cover under white parasols, Katlyn and Jake just laughed as the rain fell on them as they promised to spend forever together.

There’s definitely been a theme this past month of wedding season and it’s been having RAIN almost every Saturday! Even though the forecast showed rain was likely for most of the day, Mike & Melissa didn’t let that get their spirits down that morning as they were getting ready for the day ahead!

Growing up, Chris & Nicole’s parents were the best of friends. Their families would hang out often and vacation together, so these two knew each other before they started dating. Nicole always thought Chris was cute, but as luck would have it, he always had a girlfriend.
