Ellen & James’ October Community House Birmingham wedding was such a perfect day from start to finish! Ellen & James were originally supposed to get married the first weekend in January, but decided to move the wedding up a few months to be able to have it outdoors with a few more family & friends present! Ellen told me that all that mattered was her & James’ love & happiness, not the big party, and I’m so happy that I was able to be part of that magical love filled wedding day centered around the two of them!
The morning started at the Townsend Hotel where Ellen’s mom & sisters got her ready!! Her sweet nieces stopped by for a little bit to say hi to their aunt and show off their sweet polka dot dresses! Ellen wore the most beautiful asymmetrical one shoulder long sleeve wedding dress in a slightly cream off-white shade. It was equal parts timeless, with the button detailing and structured, timeless silhouette, and modern, with the one shoulder cut & cutout detailing on the waist! The perfect combination! Ellen wore a stunning cathedral length pearl adorned veil (that I’m obsessed with) and also had pearl initial clips secured above an ear to hold back her classic Hollywood waves that featured James’s initials. Ellen’s bridesmaids were in long black gowns & their whole bridal party look just popped against the white florals Ellen chose!
Ellen’s dad walked her down the aisle to where James was waiting! Ellen was the final of his three daughters to get married and the day was full of emotional moments for her entire family. After a beautiful ceremony we snuck out during cocktail hour to capture their bride & groom photos before it was time for first dances and speeches! After a wonderful dinner & some dancing (Ellen’s grandma was the cutest out there), their perfect day was complete!
