Most days you'll find me sitting at my kitchen counter, clad in a mix of J.Crew and Zara (in neutral colors, of course), pouring my heart into this business of mine while dancing along to my latest Spotify playlist and sipping on a cup of hot tea. I'm an award-winning, published wedding photographer that is obsessed with all things classic and elegant. I'm a former California girl, but a true Midwesterner at heart. I love warm hugs, live music and getting texts from my brides that they cried when they saw their wedding photos!! I live for mornings on my yoga mat and green juice after. Among friends, I'm known for never missing an episode of The Bachelor on Monday nights, overusing exclamation points, and disliking coffee (but loving coffee shops)!

I met up with Kayleigh & Dan recently for their Edsel & Eleanor Ford House engagement photos and we had such a beautiful Michigan spring day! The sun was so glowy in the sky as it set and the trees were in full bloom with the prettiest white florals cascading everywhere!!
Jessica & Brennon were married this past Saturday at the historic Colony Club in Downtown Detroit. The Colony Club is one of my favorite venues (that blush toned ballroom and those ornate golden chandeliers ?) and it never disappoints! A string quartet played as Jessica’s dad walked her down the aisle towards a waiting Brennon.
During his father of the bride speech, Savannah’s dad played a video clip of a three or four year old Savannah talking about her future wedding day. She was sitting on the couch with her mom and telling her she was going to marry a prince.
Elegant yet simple. Classic black tie & timeless. This is how Emily envisioned her Meadow Brook Hall wedding and along with Beautiful Day Planning, she absolutely nailed it and created such a wonderful day for her and Tommy!

Kathy & John are just about the cutest couple ever! Kathy was so giggly the entire time when she was looking at John and it was so obvious by the way they interacted together just how in love they truly are!!
I met up with Liz & Sean last week for their engagement session in Detroit! We started at Selden Standard where they grabbed cocktails and hung out in their back garden space before heading over to the Detroit Institute of Arts to finish their session.
