I met up with Matt & Nancy at the start of the month for their Chicago History Museum engagement photos. The forecast called for rain, but we ended up having a beautiful, clear fall morning for their session and the leaves were definitely showing off in Chicago!

Monica & Minan brought Martha Reeves & the Vandellas “Dancing in the Street” to life earlier this month at their engagement session when Minan twirled Monica around in the crosswalk as they crossed the street. And what better backdrop for it than the city streets of Detroit that served as the inspiration for the classic Motown song!

I was so excited when Derek & Chelsea first reached out to me about photographing their Colony Club wedding next June. Derek’s sister, Sarah, was one of my best friends throughout grade school and I always get so excited to document the weddings of people I know!!

Nina and Jason grew up one mile from each other. They attended the same middle school and high school, but only vaguely knew of each other. It took a chance encounter one night at a bar in Royal Oak to bring these two together.

Amonduez was born and raised in Detroit and Andrea is a farm girl at heart, so it was only fitting for these two to bring both of their backgrounds together for their engagement session! We started with classic city portraits in downtown Detroit on a rooftop to show off the skyline and then in the Belt before heading over to Belle Isle to finish the session in front of a gorgeous countryesque weeping willow!
