Ashton & Hunter’s engagement session at the Detroit Institute of Arts was next level!! When we first met for their initial wedding consult I remembered thinking Ashton had such great style & I was excited to see what she was going to wear to her engagement session. When her & Hunter arrived at the DIA, I was blown away by her stunning purple/pink gown. It had a detachable train and was just so beautiful & shimmery. Hunter even had the perfect color tie in his wardrobe to match her!!
These two were so fun to be around & their love for each other was so evident!! They were such naturals in front of the camera and had a sophistication about them as a couple. I really leaned into that and went heavy on the more editorial look and they aced it. Ashton’s mom popped by near the end of the session to say hi & of course I put her on train duty to get some movement in Ashton’s dress. The one of Hunter dipping her & the dress swooshing in the back its one of my favorite photos from their session, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have like 30+ favorites!! These two are having a Sweetest Heart of Mary wedding next April in Detroit & I can’t wait to see the dress Ashton chooses to walk down that aisle!!
