Nick & Amanda met one summer on the lake in Amanda’s hometown. She knew most of the people who lived there and when she saw Nick’s unfamiliar face, she walked the sandbar over & said hi! She invited him & his friends to come hang out with her and her friends and by the end of the night, they had exchanged numbers! They quickly realized how much they liked one another & started dating. Fast forward to now, Nick proposed, Amanda said YES(!!!) and these two are getting married in Detroit next October with a Colony Club wedding!! I met up with Amanda & Nick at sunrise last month to take their Downtown Detroit engagement photos!! Their first engagement session date got rained out but I was able to squeeze them in in the morning before the left the next day to go on an epic trip to Australia (where Amanda used to live) and Asia for most of the month!! We had the prettiest sunrise light for their session & whenever I do sunrise sessions, it always makes me want to do more of them because the light is so darn pretty and a softer glow than the golden sunset light!! These two are so in love and Amanda just lit up when she was in Nick’s arms or looking at him during the session! We also took photos in Detroit in front of the mural where Nick proposed which is a special spot for the two of them!! When Amanda showed me a photo of the spot, my first thought was that the colors of the mural totally had a Taylor Swift Lover vibe!! I had a blast with these two laughing between photos and I’m so excited to hang with them again at their Colony Club wedding!
